Marcelo Tapia

Marcelo began his career as a professional dancer with some of the most prestigious companies in South America, Europe, and Asia , and has received recognition and international prizes as both a dancer and choreographer . Marcelo began practice Pilates in 1993. He got his certification through Romana’s Pilates, studying extensively with the famous Romana kryzanowska. He also holds a Degree in Physical Education. After years of working throughout Europe, EEUU and South America, Marcelo worked with the Cirque du Soleil performers during their 2011-2012 European tour as their Pilates instructor, before landing back in the tri - state area. Marcelo is now on the Staff of Westport Pilates.
